- http://www.MorgueFile.com – Despite the creepy name, this site provides free photos that have already been used in newspapers over the years and hence are from their “morgue” files. Still good photos.
- http://www.FreePhotosBank.com – Pretty self-explanatory name. But, y’know what? It’s still not easy to find good photos for whatever you want to use them for, so we really need more. Don’t we?
- http://FreeRangeStock.com – More free stock photos. Woohoo!
- http://visipix.dynalias.com/index_hidden.htm – Many of these “free” sites only have a limited amount of actually “free” stuff, so the more actually free clip-art and photo sites, the better, I think. Don’t you agree?
- http://www.ArtFavor.com – Seems fairly easy to use, without long legal diatribes (that were immediately obvious). See what you want and grab it, seems to be the approach.

- http://IdThis.org – Interesting search for difficult-to-ID images. From their website: ” id•this allows users to upload photos of anything that they are unable to identify. You can upload a photo or use the iPhone application to send a photo to id•this. Once the photo is uploaded, it will be shown to all of our other users. Hopefully, using the wisdom of everyone combined, we can help identify the photo for you. id•this is absolutely free to use. “

- http://Blingee.com – Everybody likes glitter, right? This site adds glitter to your photos.

Most of these links are mainly for the purpose of refreshing my own memory of helpful sites found while perusing the web, but certainly if they can be of help to others…all the better.
Finally, I’d like to add that while I take great pride in an innate ability to craft decidedly purposeful prose, I make no such efforts at heavy lifting here. This page is meant to be a list of helpful sites; no more, no less.
That being said, I’d love to hear what site visitors have to contribute in terms of suggestions for links and categories.

- http://www.PDFPirate.net –Great site for when you need to unlock restricted PDF files. PDF Pirate is a free PDF restrictions remover that lets you do this in no time and without leaving your browser window.
- http://www.Zamzar.com – This great little website converts pdfs into visual
files and vice-versa. And free. - http://Media-Convert.com – Convert music files from one format to another.
- http://Html-to-Pdf-Converter.com – I like sites whose names tell you exactly what they do. “The Write Way,” tells you what I do. This site name tells you what they do. Simple, direct, easy-to-understand. From their website: “This is a simple HTML to PDF Converter. You don’t need to install anything on your computer. Free with no registration required!”

- http://www.MediaConverter.org – Another.
- http://online.movavi.com – Still another.
- http://www.TxtNinja.com – Site lets you convert text into pictures.
- http://www.FontCapture.com – Lets you turn your handwriting into font for free. Requires a basic printer and scanner.
- http://www.YouConvertIt.com – And the final free video conversion tool. I’m spent. Let’s move on.

- http://www.degraeve.com/business-cards/ -This site lets you make your own business cards for free and then print them out. Good choice of options, too.
- http://www.DirectTextbook.com – Online book price comparison site that lets you compare prices between all the top book online retailers.
- http://www.KitchenMonki.com – Online tool for anyone who cooks meals
for the family. The site adds menu planning with grocery shopping. - http://www.SoundSleeping.com – This site will not only play relaxing music and sounds for you, but it also has a download section. Haven’t tried it yet, but I should.
- http://www.Pocketsapp.com – Twitter/Voicemail combination tool that allows you to send voicemails even if you don’t know the recipient’s
phone number. They need to be on Twitter, though. - http://www.IsThisMeetingReallyWorthIt.com – Online tool that allows you to time a meeting and then find out its cost, based on the number of attendees and the average hourly wage. May not want to share with average, close-minded, drone-clone boss.

- http://www.Freezly.com – This is a Twitter application that helps you find free stuff online by searching tweets referencing free stuff and then displaying their popularity based on the number of retweets.
- http://www.DailyMakeover.com – This is a virtual makeover site combined with information on hairstyles, makeup, and fashion; allowing users to upload their own photos.
- http://nocarb.net/work/where – Where to Work is an online tool that maps job listings from Indeed.com onto Google Maps. Enter any job title and the site will show where such jobs can be found across the United States.
- http://www.MoreNewMath.com – Educational website showing real life situations and scenarios in the form of mathematical equations.
- http://www.Masher.com – Allows you to mix video clips, music tracks and photos and combine with special effects.
- http://www.FillAnyPDF.com – Website lets you upload blank PDF forms, fill them out online and then save.

This Letterhead Creator lets you create letterheads online and print. - www.ScienceBooksOnline.info- is a listing of free science ebooks in different subject categories like astronomy, biology, math, and so forth. You can read them for free online or download in PDF format.

- http://www.SoundBible.com is a website offering free to download MP3 & WAV sound clips.
- http://www.SoundJay.com lists free sound effects. You can download and use them for personal non-commercial purposes.
- http://www.TotallyFreeCursors.com. is a free cursor library where you can download cursors for your computer.
- http://www.Someecards.com allows users to make their own ecards.
- http://www.etc.usf.edu/presentations – Presentations Etc. is a site where you can download free presentation templates, backgrounds, and themes from over 20,000 slides.
- http://www.OpenWith.org lists free software programs to open any file extension you need.Programs are grouped according to file types like images, audio files, spreadsheets, videos and so on. Just search for the right program using the file extension name. Next, download the program on to your computer and open the file.
- http://www.Online-Sign.com lets you find free printable warning labels, add your own text and print them out. Pretty cut and dried.
- http://www.FreeHotspot.com is a free wi-fi locator website that lists only free WiFi hotspots, where web users don’t have to order something they don’t really want (like a weak cup of joe or some stale pastry) or pay for connection, but instead agree to watch a short commercial before using the Internet. Doesn’t seem like too bad a deal.
- http://filequake.com/ – Lots of free software programs for the downloading. Great collection that someone obviously put alot of work into.
- http://www.ComputerFixerTools.com – Collection of online tools to fix specific computer problems.
- http://www.LifeHacker.com – One of my favorite general knowledge-base sites. Collections of links, articles, videos; that range from interesting to wildly helpful and inventive.
- http://www.MakeUseOf.com – Same here. Great website with incredible articles and link collections. I’m always learning from both of these sites and you can, too.
- http://www.Bravenet.com – This site/business has been around for a pretty long time now. They offer everything you can think of to make websites interactive and enjoyable. Many of the tools and services are ad supported, but you can always shell out a little dough and get ads taken out. Like a Web Tools R Us online.
